{"id":43,"date":"2015-04-06T16:05:27","date_gmt":"2015-04-06T23:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wrayguitars.ca\/en\/?page_id=43"},"modified":"2016-01-06T15:00:17","modified_gmt":"2016-01-06T23:00:17","slug":"care-warrantee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/wrayguitars.ca\/en\/care-warrantee\/","title":{"rendered":"Care &#038; Warranty"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CARE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fine wood instruments must be cared for and maintained in order to retain excellent playability and value.\u00a0 Always protect your instrument from extremes in temperature and humidity.\u00a0 Never leave the instrument in a closed motor vehicle or any environment where temperatures are below freezing or above 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit).<\/p>\n<p>Maintain relative humidity at 45 to 50 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Never use strings of a heavier gauge than the instrument is designed for.<\/p>\n<p>Release tension from strings when your guitar is stored or will not be\u00a0played for extended periods.<\/p>\n<p>Always use a qualified repair person for repairs or alterations such as pickup installations or strap button installations.<\/p>\n<p>Use a high quality case designed to protect your instrument when traveling.\u00a0 This is particularly important for commercial shipping and airline travel.<\/p>\n<p>Cleaning: Never use detergent, cleaning fluids or anything containing silicones or abrasives.\u00a0 Use only a soft cloth dampened with clean water and wipe the guitar dry immediately afterwards with a soft dry cloth.<\/p>\n<p>Wipe the strings with a soft dry cloth after playing.<\/p>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Warranty<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Congratulations on your purchase of this fine instrument.\u00a0 All guitars are produced using fine tone woods and the utmost care is taken in their construction.\u00a0 In order for an instrument to produce optimum sonic qualities, construction is delicate.\u00a0\u00a0The owner must undertake proper care and maintenance for continued playability and value.\u00a0\u00a0Wray Guitars (WG) warrants to the original purchaser that guitars produced by WG will be free of defects in workmanship or materials for as long as the original purchaser owns the guitar, or the life of the builder.\u00a0 Proof of purchase is required. \u00a0This warranty is not transferable and does not cover damage caused by neglect, accidents, misuse or normal wear and tear.\u00a0 Specific exclusions include, but are not limited to: exposure to extremes of temperature or humidity,\u00a0 installation of strings heavier than medium gauge, alterations of any kind not carried out by WG or an approved luthier, strings, frets or fretboard wear, finish wear, scratches, nicks. \u00a0Electronics, or any items used in the construction of this instrument, that are not manufactured by WG, are not covered by this warranty.\u00a0 However, these items will carry the OEM warranty. \u00a0Where applicable, WG will endeavour to resolve any problems that may arise within that manufacturer\u2019s warranty period.\u00a0 Validity of warranty claims will be determined at the sole discretion of WG upon inspection of the instrument.\u00a0 Shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the owner.\u00a0 Repair and or replacement of components of the instrument shall be done with like materials appropriate to the job, and will be subject to availability.
